In the Midlands, the governor of Golden Hillock school in Sparkbrook, Mohammed Ashraf, has accused Ofsted inspector of having a ‘narrow agenda’ when they questioned pupils and staff.

Mr Ashraf claims there had been an “unusual” emphasis on things such as the teaching of sex education and prayer during the schools inspection.

He insists the school wasn’t judged on the same playing field as other schools in the country.

Mr Ashraf is worried that the publicity of the Trojan Horse would dishearten Muslim parents from becoming Governors.

Ofsted said all of its inspections were “completely fair”.

The Department for Education and Birmingham City Council have also launched their own investigations into the claims.
